“The war is not over for injured Veterans”, Mark A. Salas
Mark A. Salas served active duty with the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 1996 and the Marine Corps Reserves from 1997 to 1998. He deployed twice while active. His military career or M.O.S. (military occupational specialty) was in communications and he was injured during his time of service. Mr. Salas currently works as a service technician for cable company and enjoys the challenges of wiring digital technology.
From 2014 until 2017, Mark has been an active supporter of his wife in recruiting advocates, clients, and supporters for Alec’s Angel nonprofit. The two are members of their local VFW, American Legion, and Mission Continues. Mr. and Mrs. Salas are peer trained to work with Veterans in crisis by Military Veteran Peer Network and have co-facilitated classes for military couples with Marriage Management nonprofit at the local military base. He enjoys assisting other Vets, alongside his wife.
